Artist Statement:
"My visual art, like my music, lyrics and poetry comes from what I am thinking or experiencing at that time of my life.  Sometimes I use symbols or fantasy images to express meaning.  Each of our lives can only be lived by the individual.  It is not my goal to make people see what I am feeling or thinking when I paint any particular work.  Subject matter, composition and color choices are there for the viewer to use as a template for something in their lives that has meaning."

Biography:
"My mother was an oil painter and a sculptor as well as a vocal recording and performing artist. She showed her art at the Chicago Art Institute in various exhibits for local Chicago artists during the years we all lived there. My father was a composer and conductor and in his earlier years a painter. My sister is a writer in New York. It was my fate. I have been painting and drawing since my earliest memories and was in the art department in under graduate for two years where I studied under Minnesota artist Jackson Buxton.

Music has dominated most of my artistic efforts, but visual art has been a quiet passion all along. I am currently studying under an internationally known artist who shall remain nameless until I improve."
